About the IAG

We are British Muslim groups and leaders. We work together to help our neighbours. We stand up to Islamophobia, anti-Muslim hatred, and violence.

Our Story

Islamophobia and anti-Muslim hatred have been rising across the UK. So British Muslim groups and leaders came together. We wanted to respond as one.

We are not a new group. We are a shared way of working. We bring existing groups together, so we do not repeat each other's work and we act as one.

We bring together local know-how, research, legal skills, and civic action. Together this helps keep Muslim communities safe and strong.

Our Values

The principles that guide everything we do

Act, Not Just Analyse

We put action first, not just talk.

Protect the Community

We care for its safety, dignity, rights, and future.

Build Strength Through Unity

We pull together, but we do not all have to be the same.

Work Sustainably

We support people and groups for the long term.

Prevent Silos & Duplication

One job, done once, done well.

How We Work

Alignment Without Uniformity

Different groups work in different ways. Some work quietly. Some work in public. Some push harder. We see this mix as a strength.

Tiered Participation

Core Delivery Partners lead the work. Contributing Partners help deliver it. Supporting Partners advise, share, and back the work.

Stewardship Not Centralisation

We help groups work together. We do not tell them what to do. Each group still owns its own work.
