What Is Islamophobia?

Islamophobia is a type of racism. It is prejudice, hate, or unfair treatment aimed at Muslims. It also targets people thought to be Muslim. It can be small and everyday. It can also be built into how systems work. It ranges from name-calling to violent attacks. It hurts people, families, and whole communities. It limits freedom and creates fear. It takes away the right to live safely and with dignity.
